No Environmental Sound Data
1. Device or System Does Not Meet Requirements
This feature requires an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 6 or higher.
2. No Environmental Sound Permissions
Go to Somno - Settings - Apple Health to check data authorization. If the status is gray, this means data authorization is turned off or there is no data.
You can follow the Apple Health Authorization Steps to reauthorize. If authorized, check if environmental sound detection is enabled on the Apple Watch.
3. Environmental Sound Detection Not Enabled
On your iPhone, go to the Apple Watch App, tap “Privacy”, tap “Noise”, and then enable “Environmental Sound Measurement”.
No Stress Recovery Data
1. Device or System Does Not Meet Requirements
This feature requires an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 8.3 or higher.
2. No HRV Permissions
Go to Somno - Settings - Apple Health to check data authorization. You need to enable both Heart Rate Variability and Stress Measurement. If the status is gray, this means data authorization is turned off or there is no data.
You can follow the Apple Health Authorization Steps to reauthorize. If authorized, check if environmental sound detection is enabled.
3. Insufficient Data
Stress recovery relies on the individual’s HRV (Heart Rate Variability) data from the past 30 days and uses an algorithm to generate a personalized analysis. Therefore, if there is insufficient data, no analysis will be generated.
Please wear your watch daily to help Somno better understand you.
No Body Metrics Data
If you encounter issues with reading body metrics, follow the steps below:
1. Check if Health Data Exists
Open the Health app and check if body metrics data is available and if the last update time is today.

2. Data Exists and Last Update Is Today
Go to Somno - Settings - Apple Health to check data authorization. If the status is gray, this means data authorization is turned off or there is no data.
Follow the Apple Health Authorization Steps to reauthorize.

If permissions are fine, refresh the data by pulling down the app’s homepage or restarting the app.
3. No Data
Measurement conditions not met: watch model or system version does not meet requirements, check the in-app indicator explanation popup for details.
Measurement feature not enabled: On your iPhone, open the Watch App, tap Privacy, and enable the measurement permissions for the respective items.

4. Historical Data Exists but No Data for Today
Possible reasons:
- Some data measurements require at least 4 hours in Sleep Focus mode. Please ensure the setting is enabled and that you get enough sleep.
- Watch data has not yet synced to the phone. When the phone or watch is in low power mode, data updates may be significantly delayed.
No Standard Range for Body Metrics
The standard range for body metrics is calculated based on the individual’s historical data from the past 30 days. If there is insufficient data, no standard range will be generated, and only the current measurement will be displayed.
